CONTRACT
Through testing, your puppy will not be affected by the following genetic concerns: EIC, CNM, DM, HNPK, PRA, CYSTINURIA, HYPERURICOSURIA. Parents have also been OFA certified to have good hips and normal elbows as are many of the puppy's relatives. Our veterinarian has examined this puppy and it is determined that said puppy is in good health. Said puppy has received necessary vaccination, been wormed and also microchipped. Please do not allow your vet to give any additional vaccines until appropriate time.
We ask that the purchaser take this puppy to their veterinarian for an exam within 48 hours of purchase. If the vet finds anything seriously wrong with the puppy, any life threatening disease or a disease which will limit the puppies ability of being a pet, we will replace said puppy with a puppy of equal quality from current litter or a future litter. The first puppy must be returned to us with all AKC paperwork to receive replacement in the unlikely event this would occur, we must receive a written diagnoses from examining vet. The puppy must be returned within 7 days of diagnoses. We reserve the right to have the puppy re-examined by a veterinarian of our choice. The breeder will not be responsible for any shipping or veterinarian expenses.
The UNALTERED puppy (dog) is expected to also be free of an OFA evaluation of severe crippling and painful hip dysplasia or elbow dysplasia that is of genetic origin to the age of 24 months. If this is discovered up to the age of 24 months from the puppy's date of birth by a veterinarian and an OFA evaluation of an x-ray stating that severe crippling dysplasia of only genetic origin is present, the breeder will, if the purchaser provides written notification to the breeder and a copy of the OFA evaluation replace this dog with a puppy of equal quality. This is only valid if the puppy (dog) cannot fulfill his/her sole purpose as a pet. We do not require the purchaser to return this dog nor do we ask you to put your pet down. We would never ask anyone to have their pet euthanized. it is strictly the purchaser's decision how to proceed, however all expenses are the responsibility of the purchaser.
If puppy was purchased with full registration, the following information does not apply. Please be aware that early spaying and neuturing is not the benign procedure that almost all veterinarians will tell dog owners. it seems the first thing to be heard from a vet is neutering. So please carefully read all the information that we send home with every new puppy owner concerning neutering and spaying. We strongly suggest you allow your puppy to grow up and look the way nature intended them to do. At the very least wait 18 months if you feel you must spay or neuter. Always remember this is your dog, you have the right to decide what is in the best interest for the dog's health and well being. This puppy is sold on a AKC limited registration. This puppy cannot be used for breeding nor can it be shown in an AKC conformation shows. The sole purpose of this dog is a pet.
We, the breeder will help to guide and educate on the proper care of your new puppy but we, the breeder reserve the right to take possession of this dog if we feel he/she is not being properly taken care of. The breeders opinion and judgement is the only authority to justify this action.
For this contract to be valid the person or persons who purchase the puppy from us must continue to own the dog. We sincerely hope you will have many years of enjoyment with your puppy and will provide the love and care that has endeared us to this wonderful breed.
The purchaser agrees that if he/she is unable to keep this dog you will not sell, give away, or otherwise dispose of this dog without first contact us. In the event this might happen, we will either accept this dog on a return basis or assist the purchaser in finding a suitable alternative home for the dog. This does not imply a financial commitment on the part of the breeder.
